Warren Teaching

We recognize that becoming a skilled expert takes time and practice. Our 3 training options will help you learn new skills and build on your already-existing skillset.

Clinicians tell us they prefer to learn the basics independently and then be coached in various ways to build and consolidate skill. We developed online learning modules to introduce core topics. We then provide real-time observation with direct feedback first in a simulated training environment and afterward during clinical encounters with your patients and families.

Step 1 – Build Your Foundation

Learning Format: online modules
Time: Approximately 35 minutes per module

Complete two interactive online courses anytime. One teaches you how to use a conversation guide in clinical practice; the other introduces high-yield communication skills to more effectively discuss serious news, prognostic uncertainty and how to empathically navigate emotional conversations. Refresh knowledge and skills independently and on your own time.

These modules are pre-requisites to attend our half-day skills workshop.
